Amanda Weiler - Past President
  • Program Specialist, Area Agency on Aging, Region One.

  • Amanda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Sociology from Marquette University.  She has worked for Benevilla for the last 4 years, starting as an Intake Specialist and then moving into the Day Center Supervisor position in 2007.  She served as the Day Center Supervisor for the Sun City Restorative Care program for 2 years before transferring to the Sun City West Adult Day Center in September of 2009.  It is the combination of caring for the participant’s medical needs along with seeing their social needs being met that continues to provide job satisfaction for her.



Karen Brewer - Secretary
  • Center Director, Center Adult Day Services Prescott
  • Karen was hired by Susan Rheem, founder and former Executive Director of Adult Care Services(ACS) four years ago as her personal administrative assistant.  With Karen’s background to include grant and contract writing, fund development and office management she quickly moved into the Grants & Contract Manager position 3 months later. She started a new venture for ACS July 2010 called My Care Partner – In-Home Care Program offering another continuum of care to the community of Prescott, AZ.   February 7, 2011 Karen accepted the Director position of the Center Adult Day Services in Prescott and continues to create a great place for the elderly and disabled to be in an Adult Day Center in a person centered care environment.  Karen continues to manage the In-Home Care program as well as renewing contracts and grants.  She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and making a difference in the participants and families lives each and every day.

    Karen graduated from the University of Maine where she grew up and enjoys, hiking, kayaking, reading, hugging her granddaughter and learning new things.

    Thomas Tenkely - President
    • Program Director, Foundation for Senior Living - Adult Day Health Services

    • Thomas began working in ADS in 2006 as a Recreation Leader in Tempe Arizona. Later that year he became the Center Director of the former Scottsdale Healthcare Adult Day Services and in 2008 became the Program Director for FSL's Adult Day Health Services programs. Thomas was a recipient of NADSA's 2009 Media Award for his work on, "The Voices of Adult Day Services".
